repairman 7 #1 Posted February 1, 2011 I would like to swap a 11 hp brigs from 82 work horse model a1-1142 01 to a 73 8hp 4 speed this had a k1815 on it will this 11 hp brigs fit under the hood of the 73 with out hitting spark plug into the hood? wanting to figure this out before driving to purchase the workhorse thanks for any help! TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #2 Posted February 1, 2011 It might fit under the hood, but it won't fit behind the edges of the grille. You'll have to cut a rather large piece out of the left side for carb / air cleaner clearance, and you'll definitely have to change the muffler or cut a huge piece out of the right side too.
