Front weights 310-8

Recommended Posts

So I got my new to me plow hooked up and the tractor needed some weight in the front.

I thought about making wheel weights but ended up with something different. I figured that the blower hooks up to the front bracket and the plow doesn't use it so I would start there. This is what I came up with.

I made a bracket the attaches to the front attach a matic bracket with two 1/2 inch round bar pins that hold a few lead ingots. There is 100 pounds on there now and I am getting another ingot so I can have 120lbs on the front. It is a night and day difference in steering with the plow angled.

Now add no.40 roller chain around the center of both front tires and it will steer like it's on rails :banghead: deflat tires put chain in center and inflat so they are tight  tmix

My uncle has about 100 of these and a few hundred lbs of lead fishing weights. I had got a few from him to make my wheel weights and these were left over. I have a few hundred lbs of fishing weights too but they are for fishing. He got them from a Guy who use to make his own weights when he passed away
