wheelhorse656 20 #1 Posted January 31, 2011 well last saturday i went to look at a snow blade for a wheelhorse tractor when i stummbled uppon a 856. it was all in pieces and missing a few parts but it was mostly there. he dug out all the parts he could find and i was happie up till then. well to make a long story short it came time to find the frame and well he pulled it out and i was shocked. the frame was cut in half!!!!! he told me the reasone he cut it in half was he could not figure out how to get the dash tower off of the frame sho he ncut the two in half then "found the bolts that held the two pieces together". i as you can imagin i was a little P.O'd. then i found out the idler pully that mounts on the frame through the basck by the trans was cut off. this pore tractor in farly decent shape and cut to pieces! Well the tractor ended up following me home and im gunna try to fix it. so if any one has the clutch idler tension assembly for the tractor ill buy it f. and then weld the rest of the frame back together. i hope to get this tractor put back together soon but if i cant get waht i need to finish it ill probly just part it all out. i hope i can get it put back together. it would be ashame to have to part this nice one out! Bye Jordan ( pics coming soon)

slufoot733 70 #5 Posted January 31, 2011 There are some people who should NOT be allowed around tools of any type. Apparently the previous owner is one of those people. What a shame. Best of luck to you. I am sure if you think it through you will be able to rebuild it better than it was before.

72morph 1 #12 Posted February 2, 2011 We could weld it for a 30pak of busch but I am in Lancaster Ohio. With the weather and mileage that would still be a lot of hassle. We have stick and mig and about three other welders. That kind of fix should just be a beer swap. wheelhorse656 20 #15 Posted February 3, 2011 after tracting parts on ebay and figuring out how much it would cost in parts and labor i have sadly decided to part this one out. i would have to spend another $200 to get the rest of the parts and a good K-181 for it. it sadens me to say this one will not make it. this One is a dead horse and you can blame the previous owner for that. sorry i couldent save her Jordan :ROTF:
Docwheelhorse 2,740 #16 Posted February 3, 2011 I'm sure I have a frame laying around here (Central Connecticut) if you want to wait till the 12' of snow melts and can also figure out how to get it to Ohio... the frame is free of charge to you. Tony
