C-Series14 15 #1 Posted May 9, 2008 For those new guys who have never seen one, there you go!!! Wonder if it would pull a C-5 Galaxy.......

linen beige 15 #3 Posted May 10, 2008 Mike, There's no link in your post! Are you talking about an aircraft tug by chance? Iv'e seen one listed a few times. Kinda interesting. I think he wants too much for it and it won't sell. They will pull a considerable load though.
C-Series14 15 #4 Posted May 10, 2008 I didn't put a link in the post because I figured that everyone on here looked on EBay for WH stuff! lol! Also, someone usually adds the link if the original post didn't have it. I guess I was wrong. It was just a Wheel Horse aircraft tug.....no biggie.
Confused99 2 #5 Posted May 10, 2008 I could not find it. Could someone post a link? Thanks, Jason

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #8 Posted May 10, 2008 I was beginning to think the Air Horse might have flown away! (I actually thought the auction might have ended already - which was why it couldn't be found.) Have fun on the 141, Mike! Growing grass waits for no one. (You can save the H-D ride for tomorrow. )
Confused99 2 #9 Posted May 10, 2008 HERE'S THE LINK! Thanks TT. That is kind of cool. Is that homemade? That looks like alot of weight hanging over the front end. Especially with the 20hp Onan. Jason
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #10 Posted May 10, 2008 They are factory-built by THIS COMPANY. Here's some PICTURES
Confused99 2 #11 Posted May 10, 2008 They are factory-built by THIS COMPANY. Here's some PICTURES Thanks! Those are pretty wild machines. Do they work well?
Banjo 0 #12 Posted May 10, 2008 OK, I will ask... Why do they take the front wheels off...
Rollerman 290 #13 Posted May 10, 2008 Banjo...look at TT's thread above ^ They modify the tractor into an aircraft tug putting a contraption behind it to pull the front landing gear. With the setup in back ic counterweights the tractor & also changes the steering to articulated...like a big 4X4 farm tractor or Cat loader.
glenn27 71 #14 Posted May 11, 2008 They are factory-built by THIS COMPANY. Here's some PICTURES I have seen that B-4, but on an older "Horse--and a JDeere and a Simplicity- -they do them all --The driver/operator sits backwards on a seat cushion mounted on the hood--so he can 'steer " betwixt his legs--It counter-balances the whole machine.... Very unique!! Thanks for the LINK!!
linen beige 15 #15 Posted May 11, 2008 --The driver/operator sits backwards on a seat cushion mounted on the hood--so he can 'steer " betwixt his legs--It counter-balances the whole machine.... Very unique!! Thanks for the LINK!! They actually have TWO seat cushions (although they don't look very comfortable). That way the driver can sit on the hood for a good view while he is hooking up, and in the "regular" spot while moving the load.:thumbs2:but the companies web sight say's the driver can do the whole job by himself without leaving the seat? Can we get some video of that position shift? <_< I'm curious as to how the steering is hooked up. :scratchead:Does the wheel control the different sides of the tranny. or do they use actuators of some type?
