pfrederi 18,696 #28 Posted January 23, 2011 From what I can see that is the correct original gas tank with an elongated neck. It was mounted on the motor. The Original engine had no fuel pump and relied on gravity, which is a heck of a lot more reliable than any Kohler Fuel pump I have run into Looks like holes are available on the rear of the engine block for a starter, but you may find a clearance issue with the battery box Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
smoreau 658 #29 Posted January 23, 2011 scored a starter generator today on ebay. think I might have to mount it above the batt. and behing the gas tank. if I make my own brackets I can also mount the gas tank to that and patch the four holes that some one put in the hood. should be able to fab up a nice belt guard to cover up most of my brackets. know I just need to get to work on it! :banghead: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
