MaineDad 87 #2 Posted January 20, 2011 Seems like an easy install would be the 416-8. You'd have to do some fab work for the GT-14, unless you like to do fab work... :banghead:
fireman 1,022 #3 Posted January 20, 2011 The GT-14 is a whole different animal than the normal tractor. I think trying to make it an 8 speed would take some work.

jusjeepn 59 #5 Posted January 20, 2011 Congrats on the loader and the 416 gets my vote! Why would you part out a perfectly good tractor just because you don't like the engine it has? I'd say your gonna hear more about this.....
jdog_kustoms 82 #6 Posted January 21, 2011 if i keep the gt 14 i would pull the rear out of the raider
sorekiwi 761 #7 Posted January 21, 2011 Personally I'd keep the loader on the Raider, but swap out the Tecumseh for a Kohler. And the Raider already has the 8 speed.
boatman 3 #8 Posted January 23, 2011 :banghead: HI, The gt14 is a heavy built tractor and It has a better bearing system on front wheels (tapered roller bearings) I am presently building a loader for my gt-14. I don't really see a problem with it being a hydro. If you go to 8 speed you'll lose your hydraulic mid lift and also lift for a 3 point hitch.
