persof 14 #1 Posted January 19, 2011 Calling all parts-hounds and experts, My recently acquired C-161a is leaking from where the hydraulic line screws into the front of the lift cylinder; it lifts but is loose and leaking. Jacks Small Engines says that this part is "discontinued" but there ia s place near me that can make hydraulic lines. Do the Wheel Horse lines have proprietary connectors ? Any ideas? Thanks Francisproprietaryproprietary

Thanks Francisproprietaryproprietary Any hydraulic shop can make them for you, but they are not cheap, and they have to use reducers if my memory is correct. I had my lift cylinders lines redone on my Electro 12 a year or so ago.

Operator 7 #5 Posted January 19, 2011 If there is enough line extra [more than likely not though] you can have a new end put on. Otherwise just take complete line intoo a good parts store like Napa and they can make a new one. Randy
Trouty56 567 #6 Posted January 19, 2011 persof, Charlie clued me in on the fittings. #5 ORB (O-ring Boss) to JIC4 male elbow on the cylinder. Swivel end JIC4 female ends on the 1/4 inch hose. Then a #5 ORB to JIC4 male on the valve end. That was for my C-160. Surplus Center sells hoses with the JIC4 swivel ends cheap. Then buy the adapters you need elsewhere (Discount Hydraulics has them) if they don't have them. They don't have the elbow on their website. Hope this helps. Should have been a message reply to persof not Shubox....
