varosd 1,185 #1 Posted January 19, 2011 Today we had 3 inchs of snow with ice on top, seems like snow/ice "chucking" rather than snowthrowing! Single stage ST and the old 8 Hp chugging away! Didnt have to put on the weights (I must confess..they are "yellow" off a JD 400, until I can trade or find a paintable metal set that weigh the same at 80 pounds each!) Don't you love the radioactive boots,,we only are10 miles from TMI..yikes! Vman
smoreau 658 #2 Posted January 19, 2011  glad it worked for you. I had to use the plow today in MI. Too wet! and wanted it off the driveway before it froze solid. :banghead:
Sparky-(Admin) 19,651 #3 Posted January 19, 2011 I say slap those yeller weights on while your looking for a different set. My neighbor runs yellow JD weights on his C-125 plow machine and has for years. I dont laugh at him to much! Mike...........

smokin joe 31 #8 Posted January 19, 2011 That blower will look great with extensions on it :banghead:
varosd 1,185 #9 Posted January 20, 2011 I agree Joe, it seems that the extensions are taken off for one reason or another and then the attachment is then sold. I have seen in other ST issue posts that removing the extensions helps prevent overloading the auger. Snow coming Fri night! :banghead:
sgtsampay 117 #10 Posted January 20, 2011 I had to use the plow for my slush. To wet for the blower. It was almost to much for the plow. The old HH100 grunted alot.
