WVeeder 1 #1 Posted May 8, 2008 I have a 1967 Wheelhorse 6 speed, it was my grandfathers. Today, after 9 years of not running, slapped a new battery in it. Made sure there was oil, gas. Started right up, something i can't say about my 4 year old craftsman. Let it warm up for 5 minutes, and I was mowing the lawn, just like when I was 10. (34 now). anyway, runs like a champ, however after 40 minutes of mowing, it stopped moving.. running fine though... My dad said the transmission was slipping even 9 years ago. so needless to say, i'd like to get it fixed. it mows better than the newer tractor. .. my question is this... where can I find the model # on it.. i only know this much... 1967, 6 speed, 8 hp kohler.. it was repainted god about 15 years ago, and thats peeling.. so i imagine any type of plate might be mangled... any help?? thanks, and will keep posted w/pics (edit)... it does still have the decals intact under the newer paintjob, which says 6speed wheelhorse. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 8, 2008 :WRS: If the tag is still there, it will be riveted to the hoodstand just under the aluminum dash housing. From what you describe, it will be stamped "T-867" with the serial number below that. Check the woodruff keys in the rear axles / wheel hubs first - if one is sheared, the tractor won't move. :whistle: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
