Wheelbearing 49 #1 Posted January 13, 2011 I have a 520 with 757 hours on it 2nd owner. The engine will start and run fine cold. After one pass the engine will die while under a load on the 2nd pass. Restarting the engine is very tough after. Plugs were dry while trying to restart. So I pulled the carb apart and there was fuel in the bowl. I checkd the filter in the tank. Clean. I replaced the in line filter and found a hole in the fuel line before the pump. Fixed all that. Thought every thing was fixed. And then again it happened. Any hints or help would be appreciated. zieg72 209 #2 Posted January 13, 2011 Rig up a fuel tank to gravity feed the carb to bypass the fuel pump. My guess that is where your problem lies.

zieg72 209 #4 Posted January 13, 2011 Pull the fuel line off the out put and see if it pumps good. I have seen and experienced bad, new fuel pumps before. Also by doing my first suggestion it would rule out a fuel delivery issue whether a pinched fuel line or weak fuel pump.

WH nut 553 #6 Posted January 14, 2011 Check your fuses right side of battery box. You have a bad connection at the fuses
Brandonsj04 0 #7 Posted January 17, 2011 check for spark right after the engine dies. I've had problems where once the magneto was hot it cut out, but would start and run great when cold.
