In the back yard clearing the path to fire wood. Onan gave me some issue with fuel delivery today. Can't stand the unreliabilty in that engine. Old 12Hp Kolher ran no matter what.

Heres a video of it behaving itself. I was messing with the power chute angle at the end of the video. I lower it then raised it back up.

Stupid Onan pain in my a$$.

I think its just tired. 757 hours. Last owner left it outside all its life treated it like crap. I'm almost positive he over headed the rear cylinder at one point.

It would start up run great do a pass and then just die at full throttle. Then it just wouldn't fire up when starting. pull the air cleaner off put my hand over the carb and crank maybe it would fire back up. I checked the fuel screen in the tank. Replaced my fuel filter next to the fuel pump. found a small hole in the fuel line before the pump. changed the hose out. checked the float in the carb make sure there was fuel up there. I did this all in steps of course to try and elimnate things as I went. Then the last run of the day I had the machine stall again once but it was easier to start this time. I'm almost thinking that the machine is either low on compression, and or the intake manifold is leaking when warmed up and not pulling fuel. If I run the machine at 7/8 throttle it seemed to help. I'm going to check compression later tonight on both cylinders.
