Buzz 502 #1 Posted May 8, 2008 A friend told me about a couple of Wheel Horses one of his friends had for sale. I drove the 40 minutes to his house and we went and looked at them. The guy that has them is more or less retired has a repair shop, and works when he wants to. Has plenty of expensive toys and like most of us, doesn't need the money . Both thactors were alway garaged and in very nice unrestored shape. One is an 857 and the other is a B-80. He wants $750.00 each.......... that price is firm. a little rich for my blood. I thanked him smiled and left.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 8, 2008 Apparently he doesn't want to sell them too bad. And to think..... I figured $300 was too much to ask for my B-80 !
Banjo 0 #3 Posted May 8, 2008 If the tractors "were alway garaged and in very nice unrestored shape" they just might be worth it, correct? Of course that depends on if someone is looking for those models in great shape!
KyBlue 655 #4 Posted May 8, 2008 What people fail to realize is, Something is only worth what somebody else will pay ya for it. For Example, my Restored 75 highboy, Ive got well over 20k invested, and while its a sweet truck, I'll never get that out of it. He must not want to sell em too bad, or ... is in denial
Nick 13 #5 Posted May 8, 2008 Yep a bit high there Buzz. $750 for the pair if they are in good shape might be a fair price. Price of gas it hurts to drive that far and come home empty.
