520H4me 0 #1 Posted January 11, 2011 I have a 91 520H with 42" snowblower, 60" mower deck, tiller and grader. It is in average condition. Everything works (I had to fix a variety of things). It blows a little smoke when it first starts up, but it has good power. I find that I do most of my snowblowing with my walk behind, I have very little area that I mow and I don't garden, so no need for the tiller. The grader came as part of the package. If I decide to sell it, I will sell it as a complete package. Anyone have any ideas what it is worth?

Forest Road 594 #6 Posted January 12, 2011 There's an ass for every seat! And for every seat an ass! Its all a matter of which ass finds your seat. You'd probably be better off selling a few of the attachments separately. Finding a buyer for a tractor/mower is usually pretty easy. Insisting that that person takes everything may make it a less desirable package. And quite frankly the tiller, grader, and blower are all very desirable on their own. Best of luck
dgjks6 8 #7 Posted January 12, 2011 I agree - attachments are worth more sold separately. Also, the number of hours on the tractor is a big influence.
jusjeepn 59 #8 Posted January 12, 2011 I have $300 in my 91 520H, $100 in my 60" deck, $100 in my tiller and $100 in my 42" snow blower. There are 100 guys/gals on here who would give me all my money back and then some. What I'm saying is, the value is all up to you. Your location and the demand in your area are a huge factor and just finding the right buyer at the right time will determine what you'll get out of them. I wasn't looking when I bought all my pieces and I didn't buy them from the same person or at the same time. Just remember, If your looking to sell on here, you'll have to have your location and a price included.
kpinnc 14,658 #9 Posted January 12, 2011 $1000 to $2500, location, willingness to separate, time of year, and condition will determine the value. Only if it's got low hours, everything works without modifications, and great paint/ sheet metal and was garage kept it's whole life. Not trying to knock an estimate here, but just pulling this number out of the air may set the seller up for disappointment. The original post said the tractor was in "fair condition". Sounds like a potentially great package deal, but it's better to make estimates after plenty of pictures are posted with this.
jusjeepn 59 #10 Posted January 12, 2011 Don't forget heat Kevin! A heated garage makes it worth all that much more. :banghead:

AMC RULES 37,196 #12 Posted January 12, 2011 time of year, and condition will determine the value. When is the best time of year to sell?
Jim_M 179 #13 Posted January 12, 2011 time of year, and condition will determine the value. When is the best time of year to sell? Spring, when the grass is growing.
Jim_M 179 #14 Posted January 12, 2011 Your location may make a difference in the price also. Where's the tractor located?
