Forest Road 594 #1 Posted January 11, 2011 I fell across another deal last night. I went out to get A SINGLE SET of wheel weights.... That's what I told my wife! I came home w/ 3 sets of cast iron wheel weights and a set of Carlise Tru Power 23x8.50x12 tires mounted on rims. I think the rims will fit my WH. But what is preferred? The PO had the tires mounted w/ tubes. Now with my luck I'll find another nail and have to remove the tire. So are you a fan of tubed OR tubeless tires? Before I put the tires on the 312-8 I'd love to get this straightened out. Thanks
rick 257 #2 Posted January 11, 2011 I have the same tires mounted tubeless, one won't hold air so I may have to use a tube. I would much prefer to find a shop that uses Arnco flat proofing and foam them both. Not much chance in this part of VA...... I prefer tubeless when possible. btrrg1969 11 #3 Posted January 11, 2011 My vote is tubeless :banghead:
Don1977 605 #4 Posted January 11, 2011 I have tubeless on mine, but if you have Wheel Horse Wheels I would not change them.
Horse Fanatic 51 #5 Posted January 12, 2011 Tubes are great if the tire loses air for any reason. If the tires had already been tubed, it was probably for a reason and you might want to continue using them.

The PO had them tubed because he didn't know any better. And the dealer took his money. The rims were on a roper. If they'll fit the WH they're going on! I' leaning towards tubeless and filling them. Now if I can figure out a way to mount all three sets of wheel weights on the tractor.... 150 lbs per wheel or better:)
can whlvr 994 #7 Posted January 12, 2011 sometimes tubes are good ir you want to use the tire slime,it contains the slime,u have new so no tubes needed
rydogg 186 #8 Posted January 12, 2011 I put tubes in everything when I replace tires or when they start leaking since I get tired of going to use the tractor and finding out that the tires have gone flat again.
