Some unique picts there Neil. Great idea for a new thread too, shots of your  and your local famous landmarks. All I just gotta do is figure out how to get my 520 on a barge so I can get some shots of it floating down the Hudson. :banghead:

That is AWESOME.

As an aside I have been looking for a tractor similar to that. I grew up with a wheel horse and I don't know what kind it was. All I remember is that is had the black/red stripes and the foot pedals like yours. I have not seen a picture of one like that until now. What make/model/year is that tractor?

Neil,

My wife and I have family in Essex, and someday we WILL visit! I dream of seeing just that site someday as I teach History and LOVE English history!

Thanks so much for the pics! Those should be on a calendar!! :banghead:

Gerry

P.S. I heard they had put a fence around it, but HOW are there people on the inside of the fence??

THanx for comments Gerry ,I grew up in Essex man & boy ,what part of essex do you have family, i used to live nr Dagenham Place called Rainham which is about 8 miles from the city of London

The fence that you see is the perimetre fence of the field in which the stones stand, there is also a small rope hand rail type fence which is just a few feet away from the stones

Small world! Lord and Lady Selton, or something like that, she goes by Lady Jane.

Might have to say hello when Kathy and I head over the pond someday!

Great Shots Neil. Good example of 2 Feats of Human Endeavor and Acheivement in one Photo, albeit 5500 years apart !!. Like the Kestral Swooping.
