Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted January 8, 2011 Could have been a gen. a blower unit, just about anything, but I don't think it was another brand tractor.

Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted January 8, 2011 The air cleaner cover and the gas cap are correct for the RJ's and suburbans that don't have oil bath air cleaners, and the air cleaner cover will fit all the 6hp and 7hp Kohlers and some tuckys
CasualObserver 3,411 #6 Posted January 8, 2011 I have the same one, I looked up what it was from at the time I got it, but I don't remember what it's original purpose was right now. Search Google with the spec number, you should be able to come up with it on one of the mower parts sites.
Don1977 605 #7 Posted January 8, 2011 That's what came on the K-91 when you bought just the engine.
MikesRJ 558 #8 Posted January 8, 2011 Post the spec number. I can tell you what it was intended to go on, or if it was a standard replacement engine.

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #10 Posted January 8, 2011 It's just a basic* engine with the top-mount air cleaner assembly. These were popular on equipment where space limitations made servicing easier if it was mounted on the top. *The "basic" designation was used for stand-alone engines that could be used in many applications. It normally meant recoil start / magneto ignition / with a mounted fuel tank and a straight keyed crankshaft. (or a gear reduction) The majority of the K90 basic models were dark green and the K91 basic models were blue.
