Not sure about the pulls. Right now I just want to use it!!!! They keep forecasting all this snow, but lately everyone else is getting it and not us. Now they are saying up to 5" by tomorrow, so havta wait and see.

I also need to jet the carb again. When I got the air filter and adapter, they also sent a new jet for more fuel. More air in and out, need more fuel. I think cause of the muffler that is on there, may not be flowing that great. It is a pretty big muffler. I have the stock jet I can throw back in.

What it does, when it's at an idle, pull the throttle out and sometimes it will stall. Also at a fast idle, when pulling a hill, the governor will bump the throttle up and stall it out.

I sort-a had the same thing going on with a Briggs.

What I found was my coke cable came off, and at Idle it ran and you could idle it up real slow, by under load I guess it would close the choke and shut off.

It also had a bad/leaking gasket so I replaced all gaskets gave it a good cleaning

and put a light duty spring on the choke lever if the cable comes off again the spring will hold it open

That is a nice Ranger, I like the look with the big tires on it. I bought a restored Ranger off Mike Martino (author of Straight from the Horse's Mouth) about ten yrs. ago and Mike told me Cecil himself rode on it. I sure wish I still had it. :banghead:

I know it's not the choke, that is manually operated. Need to come up with a bracket to hold the lever down, since the stock airbox held it down. Not really a huge deal, but when it stalls needs to be choked to start again.

Might have enough snow tonite to actually use the snow blower!!!! :banghead:
