formariz 11,874 #1 Posted January 3, 2011 Since the tombstone weight topic has come up recently and I have been looking through my stock looking for a bracket I finally decided to put them to use on my Electro. Used an odd ball hitch that came with another tractor upside down attached to the regular hitch and there it is.Simple and quick with no fabrication. Hope it is not a bad thing to have a tombstone(or two) upside down .
Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted January 3, 2011 You know not everyone has TWO tombstone weights to play with, but that is a good idea, they don't hit the ground do they??

MikesRJ 552 #5 Posted January 3, 2011 As much as I like the idea, my initial reaction was a sinking of my heart! Good idea though. :ychain:
clintonnut 126 #6 Posted January 3, 2011 Cas, You should make a mold out of plaster and cast those in lead! Would probably weigh close to 140 lbs Charlie

formariz 11,874 #9 Posted January 3, 2011 You know not everyone has TWO tombstone weights to play with, but that is a good idea, they don't hit the ground do they?? They are actually 6" off the ground. Well, its not that I have TWO tombstone weights to play with, but that I could only fit two back there :banghead:
formariz 11,874 #10 Posted January 4, 2011 As much as I like the idea, my initial reaction was a sinking of my heart! Good idea though. Thanks Mike.It actually took me longer to decide to do it than to actually mount them. But then, no harm done to the weights since they are intact and in the winter they would have been weighing down tractors that are not moving so this way they pull their own weight. Is that right? :banghead:
