HorseFixer 2,012 #2 Posted January 1, 2011 Yes! Dave the RM-3261 mower was used on all RJ's and 1960 Suburban Tractors. :ychain:
VinsRJ 721 #4 Posted January 1, 2011 Looks like a good start! Did someone poke the exhaust out through the front of the hood? :ychain:
rickv1957 71 #5 Posted January 1, 2011 Looks like a good tractor!!!
evanloock 220 #6 Posted January 1, 2011 You have a RMR-3256 that was used on the RJ's. It should work....you just don't need to use the screw height adjustment as the 400 has the lift sector. As far as whether the RMR-3256 ever used on a 1960 tractor....anything is possible if there was dealer stock left over from the previous year, but the correct mower for 1960 is a RMR-32 (height controlled by the rear hitch) and for 1961 a RMR-3261 (has the 4 anti-scalp wheels). dave24 18 #7 Posted January 2, 2011 Did someone poke the exhaust out through the front of the hood? it does appear that someone had put the exhaust through the hood, i am not sure tho because there was no muffler on it when i got it. :ychain:

Horse'n Around 22 #10 Posted January 2, 2011 That's a great looking tractor It should be a lot of fun to fix up, the sheetmetal looks like theres only some minor dings and you can always make a round patch to repair that hole and it and it would be as good as new. Keep us posted on your progress ok. John
dave24 18 #11 Posted January 3, 2011 you can't really see it but the end part of the hood was sawed off because someone tride to put a larger engine on it. :ychain:
