massey 119 #1 Posted January 1, 2011 Finally got this blower adapted. Also shortened a hitch to fit the rear axle and made an insert to hold these JD weights. I poached the wheel weight idea using a 25# plate with a 15# and two 7 1/2 # plates bolted to the 25# plate and bolted it all to the wheels as one piece. So I have about 55# on each wheel and can add another 160# or so the the rear on the hitch. This supplements about 200 # of me.
Rollerman 290 #3 Posted January 1, 2011 Is the blower a Kubota two stage? Just curious of the make, but it looks impressive in front of your Horse! I really like your rear receiver hitch & suitcase weight bracket. Probably one of the cleanest I've seen Any thoughts on welding some of those up & selling them? :ychain:
Dresden Guy 24 #4 Posted January 1, 2011 Very impressive adaptation! WOW! I assume you'll ultimately paint everything WH RED????? Q: Is that trailer hitch receiver a modified Reese hitch or what did you use?

massey 119 #6 Posted January 1, 2011 Rollerman, It's probably an MTD or something, it was sold by Arnold Corp. in Shelby Ohio. The model # is 190-831 the manual says it's 45". That was some scraps laying around, unfortunately, I don't have access to that dropoff bin anymore. Dresden Guy, That is a reese hitch form a Jeep my buddy wasn't using anymore, and come spring, everything is going to be red for sure. Thanks for the compliments and ideas. Curmudgeon 28 #10 Posted January 2, 2011 Cool beans! I hope to someday, not too far in the future, fall into a similar project putting a 2-stage on the D. I'd prefer a Wheel Horse 2-stage, but will use whatever I can find CHEAP!

Bill 4 #12 Posted January 2, 2011 Very nice work.. I have pretty much the same blower sitting here in my yard, Mine is made by Honda, I was going to mount it on cub wide frame... but now looking at your set up I have a WH-141 sitting here not doing anything , I think I'm going to Fab it up and mount in there instead... Thanx for putting up the photos...
