Road Salt Spreader

Hello "Gator",

I'm sure i will be sourcing a trailed broadcast spreader like Rays, only smaller,

for my needs. I started this thread out of curiousity. Clearing/moving snow

we have the tools for...it was how to keep the surface safe afterwards that interested me.

Your solution, using a saline solution through your very smart combo is yet another method (just wondering what the freezing point of the liquid is?).

This is what makes R S so good, its global coveridge.

Thanks

ps I see you've abbreviated...NC.. i notice this all the time in posts from US

members...any chance someone could list them up somewhere?

Thanks again.

Our area highway department sprays the "beet juice" (rim-gaurd) on the roads as a pretreatment.....This helps remove the snow & ice after it falls. The rim-gaurd is the stuff we discussed using as the fluid for weight in our :banghead: tractor tires.
