kloe0699 12 #1 Posted December 29, 2010 My lift handle on the Raider 12 doesn't lock in the up position. I can't seem to figure out why Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin
rmaynard 16,293 #2 Posted December 29, 2010 The lobe could have broken off the end of the rod, or the notch may be worn and not holding. Or the spring could be broken and not pushing the rod back up.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #3 Posted December 29, 2010 Another possibility........... Sometimes if excessive force is applied to the lever when lifting, they can bend outward just above the weld at the shaft. You can "cheat" and install shims between the dial-a-height casting and the hoodstand, or you can "do it right" and remove the lift lever assembly and bend it back where it belongs. kloe0699 12 #4 Posted December 30, 2010 Today I looked at it again. I had forgot that on this tractor the rear hitch works with the lift handle. (Would that be for a york rake?) The cable is froze up and was not letting it come up enough to lock. I unhooked it and the handle will lock up but not with the weight of a blower on it. I can feel it catching as it goes by though. So either the handle is bent or the notch is worn? Thanks, Kevin
