Had a plan this morning...

I looked the 1267 over last night and took note on what I needed to get it running. I decided that today I'd mow the yard with it. First thing was to go to the local Rural King and get supplies. Drain and fill the trans with fresh lube, rebuild and install Carter carb( took the Walbro off for now), repair broken tab on belt guard, install new battery and cables, freeup choke and throttle cables, clean gas tank and run new line, fab up new PTO engagement lever and put clutch togather. The hard part was mounting the 23X10.5's that I had on the D on the rear of this one.

I bought new 26X12's for the D, changed them yesterday.

Made some bushings for the deck mounts and sharpened the blades.

Mowed the lawn at 6:00 tonight. after starting this project at 9:30 this morning.

A long day to say the least but well worth it.

The D does look good with the new Nanco ags.

Pics to come.

Sounds like a very busy day - well done  .

It's a good feeling making those ponies run, isn't it :D ?

I am proud of all the work I have done on my Charger 12, and with added roller she cuts very nicely.

Keep up the good work :WRS:

Heck, if I got that much accomplished in a day, I'd be afraid.

I'd know I did something wrong!

Sounds like a great day!

If I got that much done in a WEEK I'd be scared the wife would notice and expect it every week.

Well I got to admit, after looking the D over for awhile those 23x10.5's just looked small. I recently sold an old outboard motor and I told the wife I had to get the right sized tires on that tractor, plus the 1267 needed tires(front 16x6.5x8 will be here tomorrow  ) so it was a no-brainer. Here's the result:

I got them from Overstockwheels, eBay seller. Good price, $93.00 to my door. But they're located in southeren Illinois so the S&H wasn't much.

The Nanco tires on the D came from Gearworksmfg, also an eBay seller from up around Chicago. The pr cost $122.00 plus S&H and tax, came to $166.00. The $35.00 shipping was cheaper than driving the 250mile round trip to pick them up.

Cool  The only thing I didn't like about them is that they were so distorted from being boxedup, I thought I'd never get them to take air. But in the end, they did.

Good luck :WRS:
