Ken B 3,116 #14 Posted December 28, 2010 I like your style! When the tractor first came into view I thought it was going 30 mph I generally push hard so that if it should snow again I'll have room to put more snow. However, it does have its pitfalls. Yesterday I hit a brick that was frozen in the ground (why was there a brick there? ) it stopped me dead in my tracks and it bent my blade like a pretzel. No other damage! mr.pipes 4 #16 Posted December 29, 2010 I like your style! Well now you wont hit it next time. You did remove it right? I'm surprised the plow was damaged that much. The plows seem fairly well built and have the break away springs. But there have been threads with people using bent plows for other projects. I guess it's good to know they are not indestructible.
Ken B 3,116 #17 Posted December 29, 2010 The plow is still useable though bent up pretty good. That brick was made out of titanium, all it did was chip a corner off the brick. I had to take a sledge hammer to the brick. I have been clearing my neighbors drive for almost twenty yrs. now and that brick was never on the edge of his drive. :ychain:
