New plow tractor

Recommended Posts

porkchop

I finally had time to get my new to me 16 auto going. Oil change, removed locked up electric clutch, new seat, repaired battery box, new plug and added a used set of 23x10.50's on 8.5" rims. Installed my 48" blade. I think this hydro lift will be easier on my arm then the c-160-8. Since I have gravel drives I'll probably sell or trade the snowblower that came with it.

Great looking setup...... I have a C-160/8 and I am wondering how much clearance you have with the 10.50s with the chains on.... is it tight?

I would love to have an Auto, but instead I have a left arm like "Popeye"! Anyone wanting to trade??? :D

Now all we need is snow......those guys out east get all the luck.... darn it! :ychain:

Hey Steve I have a c-160 that I had 10.50,s with these same chains on last year. As long as you have them on the 7.5 or 8.5 "wheel horse"rims there is plenty of room. :ychain:

:D :D:ychain: Randy I will go along with every one else and Auto are the way to go for plowing because of the hydro lift and no shifting. I have not put my c141 to the test yet but I am sure it will work fine like yours. also it seems every one is using chains on the front tires,I will have to try this after the holidays. last year i did all my plowing with a Commando 800 it did fine but just would not trun the front wheels would slide. I was going to do the chain thing but this year I started using a C161 twin. With the extra weight of the BS twin and the larger tractor it hasn't slid yet even with the bald tires on the front. So a little extra weight never hurts
