sorekiwi 761 #1 Posted May 4, 2008 Question for the experts... Which are the correct rear fenders for an RJ? I have 2 styles here, a couple of sets that have ribs stamped into them, and a set that is smooth (no ribs) that came on my newly aquired Lawn Ranger. In all the pictures I have found I cant see which style is on the RJ's that have them. Thanks
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 4, 2008 The optional fenders offered for RJ's are the symmetrical smooth ones like came standard on the 1961 551. The ones with the stamped "ribs" (which are wider at the back) are for the front-engined round hoods. The 701 has very pointy tips on the rear fenders and the '62 to '64 are more rounded. sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted May 5, 2008 Thanks TT. Figures that my "spare" pair would be the wrong ones. The smooth ones I have are on the Lawn Ranger, and the bigger ribbed ones would look kinda funny over the little rear tires. Oh well, maybe I'll see what the ribbed ones look like on the RJ, and hope the WH police dont come around...
