Nick 13 #2 Posted May 3, 2008 Your local Toro dealer should have them or try Glens surplus if you need mail order. Someone here will give you the right part numbers.
KyBlue 655 #3 Posted May 3, 2008 I dont really have a local dealer anymore, thou I am trying really hard to get their lighted WH sign ... so Im stuck with mail order, and the set I found on parts tree, was 60 bucks.. Ive heard talk of different kinds of blades, like the Gator blades, but dont know what works, good and what well doesnt.
Nick 13 #4 Posted May 3, 2008 Looks like the price from Glens is around $26 plus shipping. Ive never used them for mail order I can just drive up. Another place to try is www.RCPW.com My guess is your best choice is to stay with a factory style blade on your 36" deck.
nylyon-(Admin) 7,882 #5 Posted May 3, 2008 Also of importance is the type of blade. The older decks used an oblong hole with 2 holes on each side where as the newer blades simply have a single round mounting hole. I don't know if you can get aftermarket blades for the older style. The link above is good, and the price on the blades quite good.

But a big warning for you... The blades on the 36" deck on my 1969 charger rotate in reverse compared to most blades that are out there (for the post 72 decks I assume). In fact, I have a pair of the ones that rotate the other way. I assume this is a function of the side mount belt tensioner/routing pulley versus the style that goes on the front, but I am not 100% sure! BTW, I am looking for a set of the backwards blades!
