Rollerman 290 #29 Posted December 23, 2010 I've been pretty fortunate to of had some or the rarest...46 Lever Steer's & a 53 RS-83 (Senior). Call me crazy, but they took up a whole lot of space & were really crude to operate. I've had my share of round hoods too & still have a few. The post 65's have the most apeal to me anymore. So here is my list.... (Have's) (1) 61 401...."it's what my father had" (2) 64 854....the last of the round hoods & most refined. (3) 65 1055....bought one in a box, assembled it & has become one of my favorite all around Horses, plus short frame big blocks are just cool. (4) 67 Lawn Ranger, yes I said a Lawn Ranger & mine even has an 8 speed. (5) 73 18Auto....Wheelhorse's first twin cylinder super GT. (6) 85 416-8....Late model tin with trusty old school K series power. (7) 86 417-8....Smooth running KT 17 W/electric lift. (Wants) (8) A later model D 250....the big odd ball from across the pond. (9) A C 195....because everyone wants one. (10) a 67 867....have wanted one of these for a long time, number one on my hunting list! :ychain:
DMK855 15 #30 Posted December 23, 2010 1958-1967, I'm 1/10th there. Glad to see I am not the only one with this kind of thinking!!! I would like to have one of every year of the 1960's tractors!! Once I get multiples of same year machines, then I can start being picky on which models!! I am off to a decent start!! Well, and the 2 RJ's of course!! jpmcleod 4 #32 Posted December 23, 2010 I am one of the lucky collectors in Florida to have 10 Wheel Horse tractors. With the limited amount available here, it has taken me about 4 years to collect them. People down here leave them outside in the weather elements and they rust away fast. I have only had to part out 1 C-120 because it was so rusty it was beyond repair. I have traveled a lot of miles to look at Wheel Horse tractors and some were so rusty they would most likely fall apart trailering them home. I guess that is why I love these little red guys as they have an appearance that is uncompairable to most others tractors. I am one that hates to see one parted out as some I have seen on this site being parted out are in better shape than what we can buy down here. P.S. Always looking for #11. Great site, great people. Merry Christmas.

Wheel-N-It 2,976 #37 Posted September 8, 2013 Gee, I've really got to think about this........... My Wheel Horses have to earn their keep, so function, stout construction, and reliability are #1 I'd really like to have a C-195 if I could have one with a 60" mower, or a 520 with a 60" mower. After that since 10 is the magic number I'll say; (2) 417-A's or 418-A's (2) 416-8's All Big Block Kohler Flathead (2) 414-8's All Kohler Flathead (2) 312-8's All Kohler Flathead (1) NOS Still In The Crate Wheel Horse of Any Kind to keep in the VanMan Cave!
