Two Headed Question

So the C-165 I just picked up....

1) Why does the motor have the rubber isolation mounting on it????

2) Also, would it be a big pain and stupid to put that motor in my GT-1642???

I want to be able to revert back to stock on the GT-1642 someday, but after using both of those motors (16HP Kohler vs. 16HP twin Briggs) That Kohler is soooooo much more powerful. But like I said, the 1642 was my grandpa's that I restored, so I don't really want to change it too much.

They used the iso mount to help with vibration, but I can tell you it dosn't feel much better than a solid mount, and if the rubber mounts are shot it's much worse, and yes it will fit in the other tractor iso mount and all, you will need to change the wiring also, but it will be a strait bolt in, both tractors use the same belt guard set up so your all set there, I forgot is the 165 a hydro? if so you will need a drive pulley, the one off the briggs will not fit, it will be a 1" you will need a 1 1/8" but if both are 8 speeds your all set.
