Rollerman 290 #6 Posted December 11, 2010 First solid cab I've seen on a D. Thats a neat D item. Glad you were able to get the hydro working smooth. Just curious if you could get a close up of that toolbox? at the back of the D? Looks like a neat setup or place to put one.

pfrederi 18,696 #11 Posted December 11, 2010 I hope that all you have to clear is as flat as the pictures show. You will find that with the blower raised you will have a very hard time backing up especially if it is icy or slightly uphill. AG tires are directional, going backwards is not what they were designed for and with the weight shifted to the front... Hate to see you get stuck in such a nice looking machine. Been there done that :ychain:

Been there done that Back in the day they used to mount tractor tires backwards on tractors with cultivators so they if they almost got stuck they could back out Nice D :ychain:

Sparky-(Admin) 23,182 #16 Posted December 11, 2010 So is this a cab made for a Wheel Horse "D" or was it custom built or fitted for the tractor? I've never seen one like it and it fits so well it looks like its a genuine "D" cab. Mike....
AMC RULES 37,196 #17 Posted December 11, 2010 In a word? AWESOME! Looks like it's been up armored for combat. I bet it feels bulletproof when you're in there, huh? We definitely need an action vid of this thing doing combat with the snow. :ychain:
Operator 7 #18 Posted December 12, 2010 Sweet "D" for sure and like the others say I like that cab! You know if you were to drive up here we have 15" of snow on the ground now and still coming down, plus big wind. Need a heater in the cab Randy
jtmoyer 1 #19 Posted December 12, 2010 that is a nice looking cab, looks like you will get some heat out of it to. but where is the roof ac :ychain:
sethl007 0 #20 Posted December 12, 2010 thanks for all the compliments guys!! the guy i bought the tractor off of built the cab himself. i totally agree it looks like factory. the guy worked most of his life at a place where they build refrigerator bodies for semi and straight trucks and they also used to build cabs for road graders so he knew a thing or 2 about custom cabs and thats why in my opinion it looks they way it does. the nice thing is that almost all the glass is true glass and not plexiglass. thanks again guys and i will hopefully be able to get some action photos soon!! Torino 15 #22 Posted December 12, 2010 Boy, he did a really nice job. You where lucky to find it. I have a cab on my JD 318 and you will love it. I was plowing snow last year with the temp below 30 and the wind blowing and I was wearing a short sleeved shirt in the cab. As long as the sun is out you want get cold. No more getting snow blown in your face. I have lights on mine to and they work really good because they are so high up.
