MalMac 1,332 #1 Posted December 11, 2010 Which Eaton tranny did a 82 C-175 have in it. From the filter on the side it looks like a 1100. I don't know when they started putting the 1100 in.
AMRIV1983 2 #2 Posted December 11, 2010 It should have the 1100 series, because my C145 has the 1100 series and its a 1981 model year.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,170 #3 Posted December 11, 2010 You should have the Eaton 1100 on that tractor. The very first Black Hoods came with the Sundstrand in 1980 but halfway thru the year it changed to Eatons. Mike............
bmuone 15 #4 Posted December 11, 2010 I recently bought a C-175. It has he Eaton 1100 trans. Are all the C-175's blackhoods? Mine has a hood like the 417's that is red with the back across the front. Maybe it was switched?

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #6 Posted December 12, 2010 A C-175 was most definitely a "black hood", but they can be changed over to the 300/400 sheetmetal rather easily - and it's a 100% bolt-on modification. I started to do it to a C-85 (just for the fun of it):
