snowhound 106 #1 Posted December 11, 2010 I picked up a "mini tire changer" so I wouldn't have to make a run to the tire store every time i needed to fix a tire. I had no problems removing the tire from the rim but for the life of me I can't get it back on. Could someone that has one of these tire changes give me some suggestions? I can't get the last 12 inches of the bead back on the rim. Thanks Ed (snowhound)
rmaynard 16,301 #2 Posted December 11, 2010 Are you using some liquid soap?
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #3 Posted December 11, 2010 I have never used a "machine" to mount tractor tires, but - as with all methods - the opposite side (of the tire bead) has to be pushed all the way down into the "drop center" part of the wheel and kept there as you go. Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted December 11, 2010 Like was said make sure your pushing the bead all the way to the middle of the rim on the other side from where your working so you don't rip the bead in half.
