mavfreak 11 #1 Posted December 7, 2010 I woke to about 6"+ this morning and was able to do some plowing. The C worked great! Its so much nicer to plow with this than the Commando 800 that i have. The Commando did ok but the C just is so mach heaver and more power. And speaking of different I am at my moms right now (computer took a crap on us) Anyway I plowed out there driveway with a JD318. Man is that sweet! Hydraulics are so nice. Only thing that sucked was it just seamed I needed another hand to steer with cause the other two was running the plow and forward and reverse. I think power wise it and my C are kinda the same Ok Here is some pics for everyone. Sorry didn't think of getting any of the JD Hopeful Santa brings a new computer for Christmas this year. mavfreak 11 #8 Posted December 7, 2010 yes it is in '78 '79 they put a briggs twin on a C frame. the engine was to big for the metal hoods so they made one of fiberglass, and the birth of the black hoods began. in '80 they changed the C series to a metal hood and changed the tower.
