First snow videos

Recommended Posts

Oh Ya...we got a good 3 - 4" of fairly wet snow over night. :wh: Got out the 702 and ran the sidewalk. Had the B-100 out also, with my daughter at the reigns, but I messed up with the camera somehow. The B-100 did very well, I will post videos of that next time. Hope you all enjoy: Just click on the picture. :)

nice job,how much weight you have on the back? I plow long walks

like that here but not much snow yet. This will be my first year plowing

with my 654 my weights are only like 30lbs a side and a big log chain

under the seat, tire chains with the ice bar things it should bite good.

I liked the video.

Nice video, thanks for sharing it. When you go out to do the sidewalk, you don't mess around. I didn't think you were ever gonna stop. LOL Did you eventually get the chains on and go back out to finish up the rest of the block? :wh: What a great neighbor. :)

Great Vid!! :ychain:

I could feel the cold air in my face and imagine the brute strength of that 702 just pushin' that wet stuff aside. Why do you get all the fun, and today's snow just veers south of me?

I think you need to bill the city, or 40 neighbors for the awesome snow removal.....don't let them know you love doing it!!! :D

I hope others will send more "Snow Vids" until I get my "big wet one". My nostrils are flaring with envy and my eyes are glazed over from jealousy.

I love the 702, but when do you bring out your "big artillery"?? :D

Thanks Stevasaurus

I gotta tell you...it was just my girth and the snow tires on the horse...the chains come in handy when you are going back and forth...pushing sideways and stopping and backing up...that is when the tires spin and I start bouncing on the horse trying to get traction...with chains...that is gone...hate to do chains on the first snow...it is not all my sidewalk and I do not want to scuff.

On the other hand, my mail lady loves me because she can deliver the mail on a clean side walk. :D How great is that.??? :ychain:

Steve...I am so glad to be a recipient of a good snow...I can't tell you. Although, this kind of thing will get old for most, I just can't wait for the next dumping of the white stuff. I am looking as forward to this as I am the next tractor show in the summer. :D:hide::D I remember sweating, walking around at tractor shows this summer and looking forward to this winter...OH YA Here we go...may be ice fishing by the end of this week. I will be in the lawn chair on Crystal Lake sipping Rock -N- Rye and watching for the flag to go up on my tip ups. B):D :D

"Awww right I'm gonna shut her down!!!"

Oh God, Ice cream snow, wet streets, splattering salt....dismal skys....cold hands!

How I miss that? What a great video to remind me of the old days.

But you people; you have to have some compassion for AZ Trooper and me....we are stuck here in the desert ....no snow to push, girls in short shorts and skimpy tops Christmas shopping in the malls, pools filled with young ladies in bikinis.... NO SNOW to be seen...................... OHHH, THE HUMANITEE

.................................NOT! :D

but :ychain: for a cool (if not COLD) video...

Steve, you have a great attitude. Also I want to thank you for posting these videos, they make me smile and in a funny way give me something extra to look forward too. I do have a queston.. yes another one :D When you plowed the side walk along the road, it must be hard to be sure that you were on the sidewalk and not stray onto a lawn... that was a long run to stay in a line. This is probably a silly question, but can you feel the difference in the surface when your plowing if you start to go off course or does the combination of pushing snow and the transfer of weight cause you to lose the feel for the ground under you? Not having ever done is, I imagine that the only other option to stay straight is to just visually line up where you start and where you need to go, try hard not to sneeze or hiccup and pray that it stays straight? Also have you ever went off course and into someones grass by accident ?

Anyway, thanks again for the pick me up. I really enjoyed watching :ychain:

John

Redbirdman and John AZ...you guys are who I do these Vids for. John...if you watch the 1st vid...I did go off of the side walk about one lot from the end and then lined up on the shrubs at the far end...no ....you cannot tell when you are off line once the ground is froze, you may see a little grass, and then I edge back to the left....it will grow back in the spring and I may have done the grass a favor. :D Usually you can see where the sidewalk is, but being the first snow of the year and the frozen ground, made it hard to see. It will not happen again this year because the snow ridge will not melt and be visible for even a not so seeing good guy like me. :ychain:
