replacement snowblower idler sprockets

Recommended Posts

Horse Fanatic

I need new idler sprockets (Toro 93-1614) for my 42" single stage SB.

They are fairly pricey, has anyone found a suitable aftermarket replacement?

Or anyone have good used ones?

Thanks,

Glenn

I live in WI and just replaced both of my idler sprokets with ones I found at Fleet Farm These were half the cost of OEM. You could try an implement dealer for something similar.

Hardware stores and small engine shops usually have pulleys available. There's nothing unique about them.

I finally found some. 17 tooth ones seem pretty plentiful and probably would have worked, but the snowblower came with 18 tooth idler sprockets.

I got some 18 tooth ones from Cookssaw.com, about $14 each and $5 shipping. My local Toro dealer wanted $32 each and parts tree was $27 (plus shipping). So assuming these aren't cheap junk, it was a good deal.

Thanks.
