dgjks6 8 #52 Posted December 6, 2010 Oh - and I noticed the rear of the tractor has different tires = 23x8.5's on white rims, the tires are shot: The guy had a c-175 in good shape - me thinks he swapped the rims from my tractor prior to the sale.
puddlejumper 67 #53 Posted December 6, 2010 Think she will notice? She probably allready knows and if she doesnt she will smell it on you when she gets home and besides you said the 5 (wow) girls. With them odds I would say you better get your story straight. One of them will trip over it scratch there knee and go tell mommy they tripped over a tractor and oh boy you are in trouble!!!! Forest Road 594 #54 Posted December 6, 2010 Anyway - here is the after picture. And with an hour to spare before the wife gets home. Think she wil notice? Remember I did tell her I went to get parts. You told her the truth! Good for you! It just so happens that the parts came w/ a whole tractor. GENIUS!!!!
Horse'n Around 22 #55 Posted December 6, 2010 it so crazy, it just might work.... but just in case she finds out and isnt very understanding, is there anyone that lives in the area that has a spared bed or a sleeping bag he can flop on untill things blow over John

Aussie 98 #58 Posted December 9, 2010 No wife = no strife! Glad you didn't damage the tractor or hurt yourself. I never like loading/unloading with a deck as they seem to hook up too easily.

Operator 7 #60 Posted December 9, 2010 What C-85? I was going to say it wouldn't be hard to hide a tractor in your garage. That tranny oil looks like it has moisture in it though, just change it out before it freezes. Randy PS I dumped a tractor off a trailer the same way, deck caught. And I was on it! Not hurt except the "pride", behind a garage so no one seen me. Randy Your still posting, wife hasn't caught on huh? :D
dgjks6 8 #61 Posted December 9, 2010 Just an update. It has been 4 days and she has not noticed. And she parks right next to it. So now if she asks I can say we have had it a while. The kids that know about it aren't suprised she has not noticed. They said everything in the garage looks the same and is red. I have been lax as a father. My 16 year old daughter thinks a black hood and maroon stripe are the same thing. :ychain:

PPGman 5 #63 Posted December 10, 2010 Wow, glad you didn't get hurt when your horse dumped off the ramps! On another note, how many other tractors have you seen that were dumped like that, turned over and had practically no damage? Just one more thing i love about these Wheel Horse's. As far as the wife thing goes, here's a thought: I'd get on my computer some evening and make up a nice looking fake raffle ticket. Put some crap on there like it belonged to some famous person, and the procedes benefit some kind of women's issue ( ex: society for the betterment of women and families). Make sure to include a fake raffle ticket number as well, the higher the better (she will be proud of you for winning it against that many odds). Have a little fun with it. Play your cards right and she'll be praising your new found Horse. If it goes the other way, you might be living in a van down by the river!! I make no claims either expressed or implied about the success rate of this plan! :D
