garylewa 4 #1 Posted November 30, 2010 Hi, I would like to find a snow plow/blade for my 8-speed B-80; I do not know what model #'s I should look for that would fit my tractor. I searched the FAQ's and there was a nice writeup regarding short frame, long frame, etc. except no mention of plow fitment to "B" tractors. Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted November 30, 2010 Pretty much any long frame plow will fit your tractor, the main thing differnt about them is the handle, and with a little fab skills that can be fixed, but you will find most will work on your tractor, by the way I have plows if your near MI. I checked several PDF files I have and using the ID # 61-08K801 and the 8-speed tranny it looks to be a 1976?? Is this correct? Maybe someone on this forum can help me decipher the ID # on the tractor ID#: 61-08K801-03936 the number 6317 is below this in another box The engine is a KOHLER Model #: K181S Spec : 30461d Serial # : 5054629 My mower decks ID plate is "washed out" so I can't glean any info off of that. My snow throwers plate has 86-42STO-04218 the number 7201 is below in another box; I can't find any documentation on this thing either................ i would like to find a plow for work around the yard. thanks for the help!!! C-Series14 15 #5 Posted November 30, 2010 61-08K801 is the VIN number, 03936 is the serial number, and 6317 is the manufacture date, 317 day of 1976. The 61- in the VIN tells us it is a 1976 model. Kelly, thanks for offer; I am waiting on a guy in Toledo for a price on a plow, if he doesn't get back to me within the week I'll post and let you know if I need a plow from you. KC9KAS 4,744 #7 Posted December 1, 2010 I have a 1975 B-80 with a front plow. I had to heat and bend the directional handle to work around the brake pedel. I don't have it quite where I want it, as it seems too far to the right (outside) of the brake pedel, and too far to reach. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think the B-80 has a tougher tranny than the 1054 and that's where I would put the plow (not to mention that I don't think a plow for a b-80 will work on a 1054).
