Forest Road 594 #4 Posted November 28, 2010 I prefer the rear dis. You can get up close to the flower beds on either side. The clippings disperse better as opposed to being thrown out one side. But then again what kind of shape are your decks in? are they both in good shape?
mavfreak 11 #5 Posted November 28, 2010 This one s hard to have someone tell you which is best. I like both and have one of each one two differnt tractors. If you have a tach-o-matic tractor swiching them out is only a couple of mins. I say keep both. Or get another tractor and put one on each.
nylyon-(Admin) 7,131 #6 Posted November 29, 2010 I have both 42" side and rear. In my opinion, the side has a nicer cut BUT I usually prefer the rear discharge, it handles long grass easier, doesn't clog, can trim on both sides, not likely to throw a rock (or baseball) at the house.
