Size Tractor

Recommended Posts

Hello,

This is the first time on the forum for me. I am just getting into Wheel Horse tractors. I presently have a Early Low Rise Panzer T-60 made in 1958, all original. I have almost just finished restoring it. Having a great time of it. I love the small tractors. Do you all know which tractor is the smallest Wheel Horse tractor ever made?

Tom

A (round hood) Lawn Ranger has small tires & wheels, but the rest of the tractor is "normal size".

I think it's safe to say that any of the round hoods are small, unless you compare them to a pedal tractor.

Cant remember the model number on the old tub rear engine Wheel Horse. Its small but wouldnt call it a tractor.

Hey Guys, how about an A-60. I think that is the smallest Wheel Horse ever made.I think thats samller than the lawn skiff. I'll do some double checking on that but thats a pretty good guess I think. Here's a picture of Carls Lawn Skiff.

See Ya, Bye Burly

Nick the one you were thinking about was prolly a 425-L3 and was the first model Wheel Horse sold when Cecil Pond purchased the Reo company and this was as you stated called a Lawn Skiff. This didnt go over very well with the wheel horse dealers as many refused to sell them and it was Cecils white elephant. He later rectified the situation by comming up with the Lawn Ranger which is what he wanted in a small model of tractors.

That's a nice 6439, don't see many of them in that condition. It's hard to still find the plastic AG tires in good shape. I think it's the most quiet running model as well
