What is this piece, and whats it for ?

Howdy,

This came of my Raider. It was located on the right 3/4" piece of round stock that if it were on my 702 would have had the foot rests on it.It was slipped on the round stock against the frame rail. Is this a Wheel horse made part or home fabricated. If so what is it for.It is a stamped part which makes me think it might be factory made.I wonder if its for a belt to rub against, kind of like an idler or sorts. Im a bit cornfused which is nothing new. If anyone can shed some light on this Id appreciate it.

Thank you Terry, now it makes sence. Presently I dont have any attachments for the Raider but Ill keep it around in case I need it in the future or maybe someone else will have a need for it.
