ryan2121 1 #1 Posted November 8, 2010 I am looking to buy a snow blower for my 76 c-120 8 speed, I found one locally with a model number of 06 42-ST04. I was wondering if this would be a direct fit. The guy said it includes the lift pole and flag and the only problem with it is the chute cable is broken, also he has it priced for $400 is that a good price? Forest Road 594 #2 Posted November 8, 2010 For $400 it'd better be cherry! That's a bit steep. Here in North Jersey they seem to be quite plentiful. They go off on Ebay and Craigslist for $150 - $300 all the time. Be patient and keep looking.
racinfool40 203 #3 Posted November 8, 2010 I have to agree with above post 400.00 seems awful high I'd also wait and see if you could find one cheaper I paid 150.00 for mine 2 yrs ago and it was in great shape with all the hardware... Good luck in your search!!!

PPGman 5 #5 Posted November 9, 2010 As for the model #, i believe its the correct one. I'm sure that others here will know for sure, but i do believe thats the one! I'll have to agree with the others, the price seems awful steep. I paid $150 for mine last year, it was in decent mechanical shape, but needed going over top to bottom just to get it in operation condition. I did not get the lift pole, or the flag assembly with mine and that was a real pain in the butt until a fellow member sent me some dimensions to make my own. As for the wire that controls the shoot, you can pick that up at tractor supply and make your own On another note, i purchased a snowblower for my c-120 last year and i have to say i was really impressed with these blowers. I think you'll be real impressed with it. I know i was!
spark949 24 #6 Posted November 9, 2010 I just bought one for my 77 C160 for $100 here in Ct. The paint is faded but it's in great mechanical condition. I put it on and had it spinning in about 5 minutes. My chute cable was frayed, so I bought some 1/16 aircraft cable and it works fine. 1/16 was on it but I've seen pics of the cable on other blowers and it looked thicker. Does anyone know what thickness is stock?

Shuboxlover 480 #9 Posted November 12, 2010 Ok thanks for the info would that model # fit if I can get a better deal Yes, it will fit....as far as replacing the chute cable, they are about $20 and pretty easy to install, just read the manual, it walks you through it.
