Dual Wheels 2 #1 Posted April 24, 2008 Hungry beasts they are and the grass needed cut anyway. So we got bussy Started with the 520H it allways eats the most Moved on over to the 416H When you get to the tight spots the 310-8 allways comes in Move over around the kennels and the C 81 saves the day and keeps the grass out of the water bowls with the rear discharge deck It's been a good day , the place looks a little better and a few good horses are quiet for awhile

nwh1-0475 0 #10 Posted April 24, 2008 That's nice, wish I could find a few more that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. If you can even find them around the mid-west they are expensive.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,610 #11 Posted April 24, 2008 Here's a nice looking C-81 in Kansas City: C-81 $
nylyon-(Admin) 7,882 #12 Posted April 24, 2008 Now that's a nice looking group of horses
DMESS 24 #13 Posted April 24, 2008 Nice. I'm diggin the axle setup on the 416 and that's a good looking little C-81. We had one a bunch of years back and it was always a great machine. Seemed funny as it was such a big tractor with that K-181 looking lost in the engine bay. To think 8 horsepower could do so much work! I look at the HP rating on these modern throw away "tractors" and laugh.
Dave 0 #14 Posted April 24, 2008 They all get a turn...just not at once just happen to have the other side Thanks. I wanted to see the muffler and the PTO lever. I bought the lever for mine, I just haven't put it on yet. I'm missing the mower deck so there's no hurry. I had the button/mushroom type muffler but I replaced it with a cylindrical one that sticks up and I put a flapper valve on the top. Now it looks like a tractor.
Kelly 1,033 #15 Posted April 25, 2008 Did you put the gear reduction on the 416 also? I see it has the 520 front axle. Very nice looking bunch of tractors, Most of mine have that used look, you know rusty but trusty
Dual Wheels 2 #16 Posted April 25, 2008 Yes ,I tore the tractor down and installed the gear reduction stearing and the 520 front end..You Guy's don't miss a thing. It works quite well and it's not really that hard to do.
