HY-2 and HY-3 Hydraulic lifts

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me what the width of the belt should be?

Tractor Hydraulic pump belt (1962-1963 HY-2) (1964-1965 HY-3)

Wheel Horse and Toro # 1584 no longer available and no replacement.

1962 HY-2 manual shows # 1584 3Lx51" = 3/8"x51"

What I suspect is a 1963 manual for the HY-2 shows # 1584 5Lx51" = 5/8"x51"

HY-3 manuals show # 1584 5Lx51" = 5/8"x51"

The Wheel Horse belt charts show the 1584 belt as 3Lx51" =3/8"x51"

These are the results at the interchanges

6951 Gates 21/32"x51" = 5/8"x51" Wrong?

5L510W Napa 21/32"x51" = 5/8"x51" Wrong?

Stens not listed

83510 Goodyear 3/8"x51" Wrong?

L351 Dayco 3/8"x51" Wrong?

TIA Garry

I was going to say 3/8" but you say that is wrong?? I know they are narrow, do they make a 5/16"?

The width of the HY-2 pump drive belt on my 702 is definitely 3/8".

I can't remember the length - but I should have the sleeve in the shop since I recently replaced the belt.

My 1964 Wheel Horse 1054 OEM manual lists the hydraulic pump belt as a #1591 with a 47 inch length in the manual.

The John Vining belt chart on the Red Square website lists the hydraulic pump belt as 48 inchs long with a .375 width.

I believe on our 1054's the belt is a 3/8 inch width.
