Kohler K241 question

Hi guys,

A friend of my dad sandblasted some parts of my wheel horse including the head of my engine. He sandblasted the inside of my head also, not much but now I don't know if this is a problem? I don't think it's a problem.

Let me know what you guys think about it!

Thanks,

Pieter-Jan :)

Shouldn't be a problem at all, as long as the gasket sealing surfaces are not eroded by the sandblasting. Be sure to wash it well, you don't want sand in your rebuilt engine!

I would take a piece of 180 grit sandpaper, place it face up on a completely flat, hard surface, such as a table saw or old formica counter top, and with even pressure, run the contact surface of the head back and forth over the sandpaper until the entire surface is flat and smooth with a nice cross-hatch pattern. I think you will be good to go.
