Drain plug on 1969 Hydro transmission

How do I drain the transaxle on my 1969 Charger 12?

Seems like I have seen a drain plug before, but this is the first oil change on this one and I have looked high and low.

Try towards the rear left as your looking at the rear end. 1/4" pipe plug, probably 5/16" allen wrench.

Hmmm,

that is where it appeared to be in the exploded parts diagram.

I'll have to look again! Maybe jack it up so I can see!

Look under the edge of the hitch tab that is under the rear end.

that is the one place I though I might have felt something, but then I convinced myself I also felt a similar bump on the right side. Do I need to remove hitch?

Thanks for the help. I removed the hitch and drained it. Changed the filter. Read to pick up fluid and refill it.
