oldnugly 2 #1 Posted October 25, 2010 I just bought an 857 and it needs a new throttle cable. it's one of the push-pull locking type. The OM calls it "5171-Ass'y-Throttle Control". On EBay there are several that might be right but the WH pt. numbers used are 8105 and 102119. I think these are new part numbers for the same part----are these what I need? Retired Wrencher 4,900 #4 Posted October 25, 2010 :thumbs: Tom I have an 857/1257 and I bought new cables from E- Bay and they work great all u have to do is cut to fit your length.I put some small diameter shrink tubing on the throttle side so I could spray lube in it so it slide real smooth. and it looks more original.
