Snow Hog Chains- X or straight ?

I want to run chains up front on my XTracs and there are 2 different styles available - straight cross chains and X cross chains. Is one better than the other? Inquiring minds want to know.......

i have a set of the X trac chains i had on the front. Not a nice ride and did not turn well
