Coors 0 #1 Posted October 21, 2010 I want to remove the snow plow from the snow plow frame. I have a 48" plow with a long frame. It looks pretty simple a large bolt and a few pins on the springs. My concern is the springs, how compressed are they. I guess i didn't want to release a pin and get spring in my face. I also want to make sure I can get it back together. pfrederi 17,148 #2 Posted October 21, 2010 There is virtually no tension on the springs when the blade is upright. They are there to pull it back up when it trips hitting an obstruction. The pin will slide right out (assuming it isn't rusted in place.

whfan74 2,015 #4 Posted October 21, 2010 Pretty straight forward procedure. A good rubber mallet helps to knock those pins free. Good luck!
