cost of 416-8 when new in 1989?

I was wondering if someone might have an idea how much a 416-8 cost withe the 48 in side discharge mower , back in 1989 Dave :)

my brother paid $3,600 for his 312-A in 1987. He screwed it up a few years later and I dragged it home. He didnt deserve it.
