dgoyette 12 #1 Posted October 10, 2010 I am just finishing up an overhaul of a two stage blower I got a while back. It had been painted by a very thick black paint. I am not sure what it was but it was not easy to remove. Underneath the black paint was lots of rust. It appears the blower had been neglected and then just painted over. I used and angle grinder and a small sandblaster called the Handi-blaster down to bare steel. I plan on finishing up today and maybe even hooking it up. Here are some pics of the progress through yesterday. Day one Started removing The sides were deeply pitted - glad it is such thick steel! I sandblasted to remove all the rust. Some misc. parts being cleaned up Parts drying As of yesterday: It's just a rattle can job (ACE International Red Farm and Implement Rust Stop). I changed the gear oil and filled 3/4 with 90wt and 1/4 with Lucas. I will post more when I have it done and hooked up.

fireman 1,022 #5 Posted October 10, 2010 John, I think I have a manual for it. I will make a copy and bring it with me as long as you bring the plans for the backhoe to the Meet & Greet :)
dgoyette 12 #6 Posted October 10, 2010 Darren, Looking good !! One question... how does your back feel moving that beast ?? Ditto!! Another question, what are you going to use to power that thing? Which tractor? Stevebo and Gerry - yes moving it is a bear. But no worse than the D blower Gerry =) The blower is probably going to land on the C-175 once I get that done. For now probably the C-160 for this winter to see how it goes.
dgoyette 12 #7 Posted October 10, 2010 Looks good now! Does anyone have a manual to share for these blowers? John I have a pdf of the Operators manual. I tried to e-mail it to you but the e-mail failed for some reason. The parts manual is available at Toro for a couple bucks with free shipping too! dgoyette 12 #8 Posted October 10, 2010 Well I didn't get it done but close. Hooked it up to and ran it. Seems great! But the lift link is screwed up. Looks like it broke at some point and then was repaired but not correctly. Here is some funny pics too. I just got the 32" st-326 (thanks MRM). Here is are some size comparisons. wallfish 18,078 #9 Posted October 10, 2010 That is funny with the sizes. I was going to get some pics with the 2 stage and a st-302. It's even a little smaller than the 326. I'll send you an email so you can send a PDF back. Forumer will not allow attachments to be sent. Thanks
